Goodbye

Yup, this is the first song I've ever written. I wrote it as a tribute to my grandfather who passed away on the 19th of April in 1994. This song was written about four years after though.

Though time has floated since that day,
the words still remains in my head.
Though time should have been erased this by now,
it must have been a failure somewhere.
Because I can still recall those words i heard,
I can still remember it all, yeah, as i'm sitting here,
it's not that far for my eyes to be filled with tears.

Why did you have to get that disease,
you were just like the dad I thought I never had.
I never had the chance to say the word,

We shared everything, both laughs and tears,
you were always there, just like a good friend.
I still remember those songs you used to sing,
and those sea-stories you used to tell me.
And those moments in the old rocking chair,
those moments are the ones that I remember so clearly.
As I'm sitting here and I think of you,
it's not far for me to start crying.
