5 years of blogging!

Yeah!
Today is a big day in this blog's history,
and also my own of course.
Celebrating first 5 years isn't that bad.
Has been a winding, somewhat bumpy road so far.
Hopefully this year will be THE year.
I have stuff from throughout the years that I'll
try to put up, as well as the stuff written last year,
that didn't get uploaded (shame on me I guess).

Haven't been lazy this year either though.
Not so much recording (thin walls betweeen the dorm rooms),
yet this haven't been stopping me from writing.
Thank God I guess, would've gone mental pretty fast if that'd happen.

I actually have a faint memory of getting a certain question
in the very beginning, so I thought I'd answer that now,
even though I don't know if that person is still reading this.
The question was (and is), why did you start this blog?

I guess it was simply cause I wanted some sort of place
to release my lyrics on, not necessary new stuff,
but also letting some older things out in public.
If mind serves me right I guess I had it coming already
back in 2004, though making a website simply didn't happen.
Will it happen this year? We'll see, I'm not promising anything.
Making a website is one thing, the tougher one is to keep it up to date.
If I'd keep on getting new gadgets (read: Tumblr, Twitter, Twitpic,
Facebook fanpage, website, and so on..) I might as well hire a secretary.
Anyone up for it? ;-)

I actually might have some things coming today
since the other choice would be to save it for December.
Who knows if I'll remember it for that long.
We'll simply see what happens.
Oh, and if the thing I have in mind happens,
I don't know if I'll go all the way,
since I didn't really write songs in that furious tempo.

Only did recordings on cassettes, with an old tape recorder,
which have probably been scrapped over the years, recorder as well as cassettes.
Did sound pretty good back then though.
Saved the tracklists from '94 and up, and I know I did two short projects
before that as well. Need to look up that when I get home,
think I might have something in a box on the loft or something.

Well, that's about it I guess. As you can see it didn't exactly
turn out as a 5 year-spanning travel..more like a 15-20 year-spanning one.
What the future has in store is still written in the stars.
Have been finishing writing for 3 projects already,
just been starting on the 4th, and have a few old things from '06
waiting to be completed with new material and let out in the open,
I guess that also this year will be a killer.

Well, I guess it's time to tie this together.
Completing will probably occur later today.
Have to transfer some pics I took while I was at home
and upload, probably onto all "my" different "forums".

Last but not least, thank you all who are visiting.
Doesn’t matter if you only stop by,
it’s always nice to have you around,
even though I don’t update that much.
Things will come though.
