Better late than never at all - The revealing of the S.J.A.G. - project

Yup.
About a week ago now, but still kinda fresh.
The S.J.A.G-project is a project, the first in a long time,
that hasn't been done for my own pleasure, but completely written
and dedicated to someone else.
That the timing probably couldn't have been much better than this
is even more doubtful. All in all I'm proud to say the least.
The fact is that this whole plethora started with a simple question
of a song that would starr in a youtube-video. At first I must say
that I was more than distant to the whole thing,
but it somehow grew on me.

The truth is that, even though the project got halted,
I had given it so much thought and, part because of the person
it was written for, so much dedication and effort had been made
into just one piece of lyrics, that I simply found it too good
to just throw in the pile of demos/outtakes/non-releases.
So, alles klar, I wanted to release it, but at the same time
I knew that if I was to release it, it at least would take a
decent B-side written with the same spirit.

Only thing that differed was that, where the lead was a
dedication that was written on behold of a request for
a really serious thing that'd represent a collection
of birthday wishes and greetings from her fans, the b-side
was just that, a b-side, still based on and written around the
expressions and feelings I felt that first time I heard her on the
radio and the beats and hook-filled lyrics she brought along, and
it's tempting to say, a feeling that became if not more intensified,
but rather stated the same, with her second single.

Cause, if I should be honest, when the first single came out
I was mesmerized to say the least, but when the second came,
I really knew that this was not anyone to be labeled as a one hit wonder,
but one that was on the complete opposite side of the line and
wasn't joking when she stated that she was stunned by the attention
and positive spirit she received, yet still said that she had a debut album
that was packed with hits. Well, I could keep on listing dry facts and stuff,
but that'll take its time.
Therefor, back on the ordinary subject.

Cause the fact was that even though a single would have been enough,
I still had decided that just two tracks simply wasn't enough.
I simply wanted to try to extend it to 5, just to see
what would happen. If I had failed on myself, well, three more
things in the outtakes wouldn't have hurt that bad.
Save it for a rainy day, there will be more opportunities.
To be honest, I was really surprised how easy it was to
write another twin-track. A ballad here, an uptempo there.
Actually the ballad was inspired by a story a fan of hers told me
some time ago, and a story that somehow made both me and her realise
how much she really meant, not only to the two of us, but probably
also to the rest of her huge fanbase.

That she had helped them through her songs, attitude, stage shows,
outfits, speeches and so on. She had, part voluntarily, part involuntarily,
showed all of them that it was ok to be who you are, she had confessed,
and even truly admitted that it wasn't only because she who made this possible,
it was her fans. And she really showed, and keeps showing it.
I'm sure that if you'd ask a thousand different people,
they'd sure say that the artist meant the world to them,
but if you asked why, I think you'd get a thousand different answers,
but all around the same subject. All stating "She gave me
the courage to be myself".

So, I don't know if there's much more left than to
let the lyrics do the talking.
I don't know if you can, but I think you can guess
who the project is referring to...
